We want to reassure everyone that Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is open and operative as always 💪 the high tide will NEVER stop us! The team of Savoia & Jolanda hasn’t given up and never will , we are working hard and effortlessly to guarantee the best service despite the damages caused by the high tide occured on November 12th. United we stand... but even more important is that the smile will never leave our faces! 👬❤️👭 Despite the highest peak (187 cm) ever registered after 1966, we had immediately secured all our guests and the hotel. After only 1 hour after the peak, we reactivated the power in the building and we guaranteed breakfast by setting an emergency breakfast buffet. We kept guaranteeing all services, even included the wi-fi after 4 hours: we did our best to help and reassure our guests, by getting out in order to buy boots and food. So far, only @ristoranteprincipessa will be closed for the next few days. We are racing against the clock to restore the usual service and reopen as soon as possible. We will keep you updated step by step. We will communicate the next reopening hoping to welcome many of you! Venezia, due giorni sono bastati per percepire il dolore che ti affligge. Ma per poterlo comprendere, per poterlo sentire, bisogna conoscerti, bisogna amarti. Da piccolo numerose volte sono venuto a trovarti. Grazie a mio papà @corradoleani che ci ha fatto conoscere, che da giovane aveva studiato qui e che ha cercato di trasmettermi le tue peculiarità, la tua arte, la tua bellezza. Grazie a mio fratello @darioleani che recentemente ha studiato qui e mi ha trasmesso il fascino di viverci, le passeggiate notturne, le calli, i campi e i sottoporteghi distanti dal trambusto della vita turistica. Non vi ringrazierò mai abbastanza per avermi concesso il privilegio di amare Venezia come lo avete fatto voi. Ora Venezia sta soffrendo. Sta affondando. Si specchia nell'acqua alta che la sta devastando, in uno spettacolo tanto inedito, tanto spettacolare, quanto ingrato e devastante. La colpa di tutto ciò? Le motivazioni? Perché si è arrivato a tanto? Penso che Venezia sia l'emblema di una nazione che sta sprofondando nelle sue paure, nelle sue contraddizioni, nella sua politica, che è divenuta, o lo è sempre stata, propaganda e nulla di più. Sono sicuro che ti rialzerai, più forte di prima, anche grazie ai numerosi giovani che ti sono vicini e che stanno aiutando la popolazione tutta. E non grazie alla politica, non alle manie di grandezza di una nazione schiava della sua fama di potere e di gloria.
